The french name would translates to "Naturally Sweet Wine".  Sweet nose of tropical fruits.  Flavors of peach and pineapple, nice balanced sweetness on the finish. Only 400 bottles produced in 2009. The wine has a full structure and a long, lingering finish which makes it enjoyable now, or for years to come.

Veramonte Sauvignon Blanc -- Chile -- 91 points from Wine & Spirits for this affordable white. It's best described as zesty. a word that's fun to say, and a word that very aptly describes this Chilean white, which just happens to be fun to drink! Zesty on the nose, with herb and floral notes, and zesty on the palate, with melon and citrus coming quite freely in this tangy little value-packed S.B. Impossible to resist and equally drinkable either paired with food or not! Wine & Spirits: "At first this is all herbs and asparagus. The tension in the structure holds it firm as the wine gradually shows its gooseberry and mineral side. A great value for sea bass ceviche."

Llano Estacado Winery

Lubbock, TX

Born out of a casual experiment with grapevines shading a Lubbock patio, this winery is one of Texas’ largest.  Wines made from vinifera grapes include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Riesling and Port.  The facility houses modern equipment alongside traditional oak barrels and a lovely, inviting tasting room and gift shop.  Llano Estacado Wines continually win awards in major national and international competitions and can be found all over the state of Texas and other select markets.  We will be serving…..

Signature Red -- In 2005, and now in 2006 we have deviated slightly from our established varietal composition of this blend. As a result the term Meritage has been removed temporarily from our label. By the addition of 7% Texas Sangiovese to our Meritage blend, we were able to correct a temporary wine shortage created by a light crop of Texas grapes. Our winemakers do not consider this as a compromise to wine quality because of the added texture and complexity the Sangiovese contributes to the blend. Our 2006 blend becomes Cabernet Sauvignon (63.2%) , Merlot (22.5%), Cabernet Franc(7.2%) and Sangiovese (7.0%). This wine has been aged in our 59-gallon oak barrels for 14-months. We believe that wine is a healthful addition to any meal or to be enjoyed on its own. This is a soft, lush red wine that's perfect for your next social event. It's flavors complement a broad range of foods from Tex-Mex, Southwestern cuisine, pork tenderloin or grilled steaks.
